Questions & Answers
Trial Classes
It is very important to us that both dancer and parent expectations are managed about what happens in our dance classes. We encourage all curious children to try one class (space permitting) to ensure that they are prepared for the content and structure.
Parent Viewing
We find that children have the best learning experience with closed doors and no disruptions, and we value providing privacy to all of our dancers to maximize their learning. We know parents are curious about their child's class so we offer a parent viewing week in December. where parents are encouraged to learn about what happens in a typical dance class.
Fees
Our yearly fee includes registration, tuition, uniform, costume, tickets & digital download of our year end recital, all extra rehearsals, and competition fees (if applicable). All fees are based on 34 weeks of instruction and are calculated as one total fee, which is broken into smaller payments for parent convenience. **Registration & uniform fee is due on enrollment.
**New for 2024-2025, all non-competitive fees will be prorated over 9 months (September - May).
Withdrawals
Dancers may withdraw within their first 4 weeks without penalty, after that we will require one month's notice. After March 31st there are no withdrawals or payment stoppages.
If your dancer will be traveling for an extended period of time, you can either continue payments to hold your spot or you must withdraw (one month's notice) and then reenroll when you return (space permitting).
Payments
Our preferred method of payment is credit card through auto-pay. Payments are all processed and expected on the 15th of each month, unless alternate arrangements have been made in advance. We also accept Paypal, e-transfer, & cheque, however, if there are continuous missed payments you may be asked to place a card on file. If your dancer is joining us mid year their tuition will be prorated to the current month. School holidays (partial months) are already factored in and there is no credit for missed classes.
Dress Code
Information about our dress code will be provided when your dancer comes to try their first class. Our uniform is very important because it facilitates a positive learning environment, even for our preschoolers. We know through experience how disruptive it is when every tiny dancer shows up in a different ballet dress, so we ask that you please maintain their uniform as you would for school or any other sport.
Food & Snacks
Dancers with more than one class per day are asked to bring healthy nut-free snacks, focusing on protein, vegetables, fruits, & whole grains in order to ensure that they have enough energy to keep them sustained through substantial movement activities. The only drink allowed in our studios is water, if a dancer brings juice or milk they will be asked to leave it in the lounge and a water bottle will be provided for class.
Drop Off & Pick Up
**New for September 2024: As our Saturdays are extremely busy, our lounge is only able to accommodate Mini Movers or new families during their dancer's first 6 weeks.. All other families: please arrive five minutes early, ensure your child has gone to the bathroom before class, and we will wait with them until their teacher arrives.

If you need to speak to someone in the office we ask that you make an appointment, rather than trying to do so at drop off or pick up.
